SECUNDERABAD: Two gym trainers were arrested by the Secunderabad police on Friday for allegedly blackmailing and harassing a minor girl with her morphed photos in Bowenpally. The accused Raju and Ravi, who run a fitness studio, allegedly took the victim’s pictures while she was working out and morphed them to blackmail her for money.
According to the police, the victim, a second-year Intermediate student, is a resident of Dhanalakshmi colony. She joined the fitness centre located within the Bowenpally police station limits sometime back. Raju and Ravi, who are working as trainers at the gym, secretly clicked a few revealing pictures of the minor girl while she was working out. They later morphed the pictures to harass her.
The accused kept blackmailing her to cough up Rs 4 lakh and 20 tolas of gold in return for the photos and their silence. They also threatened to put her photos on social media if she failed to oblige to their demands.
The victim revealed her ordeal to her parents after they noticed that their daughter was looking depressed. Based on a complaint from the family, the police registered a case and arrested the two accused.
