HYDERABAD: The Chilkalguda police arrested a four-wheeled automobile offender on Tuesday and seized an ambulance from him. According to the police, Kaki Yadagiri, 33, of Secunderabad, is a habitual offender who has three cases registered against him at the Gandhi Nagar police station in Hyderabad.

According to reports, Lingampally Srinivas, a 50-year-old ambulance driver from Karimnagar, filed a complaint with Chilkalguda police about his lost ambulance on September 19, 2022, at 5 pm.

In his written complaint, he informed the police that he travelled from the government hospital in Karimnagar to Hyderabad on Monday with a patient named Rajender, 35, who had consumed pesticide. He apparently left the keys in the vehicle itself as he took the patient inside Gandhi Hospital's emergency ward and parked it there.

The complainant's vehicle, which was worth Rs 3,70,000, was unable to be seen when he returned from the emergency ward in less than ten minutes. He looked around but could not find his ambulance. Therefore, he urged the cops to assist him in finding his ambulance.

Kaki Yadagiri, a labourer, was apprehended on Tuesday by Chilkalguda police, who also seized the ambulance with the licence plate TS22-T-5379 from his home in New Bhoiguda, Secunderabad. He was charged with violating Section 379 of the IPC at the Chilkalguda police station.

The arrest was made by the Crime Staff of Chilkalguda Police Station along with G. Naresh, SHO, K. Nageswara Rao, DI, and N. Sai Krishna, SI, all under the direction of G. Venkateshwarlu, Addl. DCP, North Zone, and N. Sudhir, ACP, Gopalapuram.
