Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy's fan dies in sleep, sister blames TRS victory speculation

HYDERABAD: In an uncanny case of sycophancy, police suspected that a man Udari Shankar (30), who mysteriously died in his sleep on Friday, died of grief after seeing Munugode by-election statistics.

Shankar, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activist and Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy follower, was reportedly in trauma after Munugode by-election statistics said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was winning.

According to the case registered by the police, he went to sleep on Thursday after being informed of the election predictions. His sister Sravanthi found him dead on his bed on Friday morning. She claimed that he died of shock and grief after learning about BJP's loss.

SI Anil said that Shankar suffered from many ailments and might have died of a heart attack. A case was registered and further investigation was going on.
