Old rivalry leads to daylight murder in Vijayawada

VIJAYAWADA: Old rivalry led to the brutal murder of a person in Vijayawada on Sunday. The incident happened in broad daylight in the Machavaram area of the city. The deceased was identified as Suresh.

According to reports, Suresh was attacked by Chowdesh with whom the former had a history of bitter enmity. Chowdesh, it was reported, came in a car and ran over an unsuspecting Suresh in the busy area, in an apparent bid to settle old scores.

Chowdesh later surrendered himself in a local police station. The body of Suresh was shifted to the Vijayawada Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered and investigation is going on. Full details of the gruesome murder and what were the factors that created enmity between the two were not immediately known.
