HYDERABAD: The Shad Nagar police have arrested four persons, including a head constable, for allegedly murdering a man, Bikshapati, in 2021 and then portraying the incident as an accident.

As it was reported in 2021, the victim was knocked down by a car in Mogiligidda near Shad Nagar. Though it was initially assumed as an accident, a detailed investigation by the police revealed that the accident was indeed part of a plot for a pre-meditated murder.

The police said that the motive behind the murder was to gain Rs 50 lakhs from insurance and a property registered in the name of Bikshapati.

Shamshabad DCP Jagadishwar Reddy gave away cash rewards for the police team that cracked the case in an year-long investigation.
