ZAHEERABAD: A soldier forgot his revolver at Zaheerabad RTC bus station in Sangareddy on Saturday, causing commotion in the town and sending the local police into a tizzy.

According to information, Sikander, an Indian Army soldier, was on his way to his native place Sirgapur of Sangareddy district from Zaheerabad. As he needed to go to the toilet at the bus stand, he kept belongings including his revolver outside.

However, the soldier later hurriedly boarded the Nizamabad bus fearing that he would miss it. But in the process, he completely forgot about the revolver that he left behind. Only after reaching Narayankhed, he realised that he had lost his weapon and immediately lodged a complaint at the Zaheerabad town police station.

The police registered a case and are investigating. The police have taken up the matter very seriously and were hoping to recover the missing weapon soon before it could fall in the wrong hands.
