Tragic end to Goa trip: 1 student killed, 5 injured in car crash near Patancheru

HYDERABAD: A student was killed while five of his friends were injured after their car hit a stationary bus on the national highway in Sanga Reddy district in the early hours of Sunday. The mishap occurred at Isnapur, located near Patancheru at around 3 am.

The six, students of VNR Vigyan Jyoti College, were returning to Hyderabad after a trip to Goa. Their car rammed into the bus that was parked on the roadside near the SBI branch in Isnapur.

The deceased was identified as Jaya Sai (21), who was killed on the spot in the accident while Akash and Sriram were grievously injured. Three others, Nitish, Manikantha and Shivamani, suffered minor injuries.

The injured students were shifted to a private hospital in Miyapur for treatment.
