SECUNDERABAD: The Tukaramgate Police on Monday apprehended four persons including three alleged bike thieves, and recovered 30 stolen motorcycles from their possession.

There were two minors among the apprehended arrested. The other two accused were identified as Mohammed Awais Ali (20) of Bholakpur, Musheerabad, and Vithanala Srinivas (36), a car driver living in Gandhi Nagar. Srinivas is the handler of the stolen vehicles.

The arrests followed a complaint lodged by Vade Balram, a resident of east-marredpally Secunderabad, whose two-wheeler was stolen on October 22, 2022. The victim, in his complaint, said that his bike was stolen at around 11 pm from outside his house.

The accused were apprehended while they were moving suspiciously using the stolen bike on Monday. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and to other previous bike thefts. Based on the information given by the accused the police recovered 30 stolen bikes.
