GUNTUR: The Guntur police have busted the gold theft case that occurred in Pattabhipuram police station limits and arrested two accused seizing jewellery, cash, and a motorcycle.

According to the details revealed by Guntur SP Arif Hafeez, a gang of two belonging to Guntur, who resorted to theft in Mahaveer jewelery shop in the district, were arrested by police after receiving the information. He said the police seized 1,167 grams of gold, a cash of Rs. 6,35,000, and a motorcycle.

ASP Srinivas Rao claimed that the accused spent Rs 3 lakh from the stolen jewellery and clarified that an in-depth inquiry would be done in a gold theft case.
