QUTHBULLAPUR: Two police constables were reportedly stabbed with a knife by one person on Thursday within the Jagadgirigutta Police Station limits. The constables were attacked in an area populated with Sikhs when they had visited the place to gather information in connection with a case.

Constable Raju sustained stab injuries on his chest while his colleague Vinay suffered wounds on his head. The two policemen are part of the Special Operation Team (SOT). The assailant was identified as Sardar Karan Singh.

The injured police constables were shifted to Ramdev Rao Hospital in Kukatpally for treatment. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravikumar, after receiving the information, visited the constables to check on their health. However, complete details about the incident were yet to be known.
