RAJANNA SIRISILLA: In a filmy-style incident in broad daylight, a woman was kidnapped in Mudapalli of Chandurthi Mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district on Tuesday. Four men, who came in a car, whisked away the woman while she was returning from a temple.
The woman, along with her father, was returning home after a visit to a Hanuman temple when the kidnappers attacked the father and kidnapped her. The woman was identified as Shalini.
According to reports, the kidnappers were suspected to be the accused in a POCSO Act case and served a jail period for the same. The police have registered a case and an investigation is underway. The audacious act by the kidnappers was captured by the CCTV cameras in the vicinity and the spine-chilling footage went viral on social media since then.
