Exams closer to home, OU applications, NACS courses: all new in education
JNTU, OU and other institutions have announced key decisions regarding various examinations

HYDERABAD: Educational institutions have geared up with the semester end nearing. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTU), Osmania University (OU) and other institutions have announced key decisions regarding various examinations.
The university announced that it would give students an opportunity to write exams from centres that are close to their homes and villages. BTech, BPharmacy, MBA (Masters in Business Administration) and MCA (Masters in Computer Application) students can choose a list of centres close to their house and submit it to the University by October 14.
The University on Tuesday announced the dates for MBA and MCA entrance exams and the last day of applying for PhD entrance.
Director of OU Admissions Prof. Panduranga Reddy said that the applications for admission into MBA and MCA courses in OU distance education would be open till October 12 and hall tickets would be available to download from October 13. The entrance exam will be held on October 15 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at respective distance education centres with a fee of Rs 500.
The University also extended the last day for applying for PhD till October 20 with a charge of Rs 1,000 late fee. Prof. Panduranga Reddy said that till October 10 over 9,000 candidates had applied for PhD entrance exams in various departments.

National Academy of Cyber Security
The National Academy of Cyber Security has opened applications for various online cyber security and ethical hacking courses. Candidates who studied inter, degree, PG, engineering, Polytechnic or Diploma can apply before October 27. More details can be found here.
