3 injured as drunk cleaner crashes container truck into car in Kompally

HYDERABAD: A heavily drunk cleaner of a container truck caused a major accident in Hyderabad in the early hours of Thursday when he drove the vehicle in inebriated condition. At least three persons were seriously injured in the road accident that took place in Kompally of Medchal District when the container truck rammed into a car.

According to reports, the accident occurred when the truck cleaner, who was under the influence of alcohol, drove the container truck. The police shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.

Vehicular traffic was disrupted as the container truck fell across the road after being toppled under the impact of the collision. The authorities had to use a crane to clear ill-fated vehicles and restore the traffic on the Kompally road. A case has been registered and investigation was underway.
