Attempt on Armoor MLA Jeevan Reddy suspected, one held

HYDERABAD: A murder attempt was suspected on the life of TRS MLA from Armoor Assembly constituency Asannagari Jeevan Reddy.

The husband of Killeda village sarpanch was arrested by police in this regard. The accused is said to be nursing a grievance against the MLA as the latter got the wife of the accused ousted from the post of sarpanch.

As he was moving in front of the residence of the MLA at Vemuri Enclave on Road No.12 Banjara Hills, the security personnel of the MLA alerted the Banjara Hills police.

Soon the police swung into action and arrested the accused person and seized a dagger and a pistol. The police are questioning him. A case was registered.
