BS DAV School recognition renewed for this year

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Education Department has renewed the recognition of the BS DAV school in Banjara Hills which came under the spotlight following an alleged sexual assault on an LKG girl student. The recognition of the school was cancelled in the aftermath of the shocking incident which also led to the arrest of the school principal and her personal driver.

The Education Department has now renewed the recognition of the school on an adhoc basis, limited to the current academic year.

The Education Department took this decision paving the way for the reopening of the school following appeals from the parents of the students. The school was reopened keeping in mind the future of the students. The school was directed to strictly implement all the safeguards as prescribed by the Education Department.
