Chairmen of NTV, CVR Channels removed from Jubilee Hills Co-Op Housing Society

NTV Chairman Narendra Chowdary, CVR Channel chairman C V Rao and three others have been removed from the membership of the JHCHBS.

HYDERABAD: NTV Chairman Narendra Chowdary, CVR Channel chairman C V Rao, and three others have been removed from the membership of the Jubilee Hills Cooperative House Building Society Ltd.

In the general body meeting of the prestigious Jubilee Hills Co-operative House Building Society Ltd on Sunday, it was unanimously decided that five members of the society, who went against the rules and regulations of the society as per Section 21 of the Telangana State Co-operative Act, would be removed from the membership of society.

According to this decision, NTV Chairman T. Narendra Chaudhary, CVR Channel Chairman CV Rao, Retd chief engineer T. Hanumantha Rao, present Secretary of the society A. Murali Mukund and Kilari Rajeshwara Rao would no longer be part of the society and also lose their membership in the Jubilee Hills Club.

In April 2022, the Income Tax Department had marked 11 properties in the reputable society under suspicion for being sold illegally at an extremely high value. Between August 2021 and March 2022, the Society received five notices from the Income Tax department for Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act of 1988.

During September 2021 to December 2021 there were allegations against A Murali Mukund for being involved in such illegal activities. However, the Telangana Co-operative tribunal had retained his position as secretary.

Society President B. Ravindranath said that more than 750 members attended this all-member general body meeting for the first time in 30 years. He said that many IT organisations came forward with the cooperation of Nasscom to undertake the process of digitization of society records at the lowest cost.

With this, information related to members would not be tampered or misplaced, he said. It was also said that Apollo Hospitals health cards would also be issued for taking care of the health needs of the members of the society. The president of the society said that an ambulance had also been made available for the emergency needs of the members.

Members who submitted KYC documents were also given smart cards. Laurus Labs Chairman C. Satyanarayana donated the ambulance to the society.

In fact, there have been controversies over the memberships, sale of plots and leadership issues and elections. The society has always been in news for a variety of reasons.
