Hotel staffer dies by suicide near Osmania University

HYDERABAD: A 28-year-old man allegedly killed himself near Osmania University on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Sushant Jaina from Odisha.

According to OU police, Sushant worked as a housekeeper at the local Kinnera Grand hotel in the Habsiguda area. Osmania University police arrived on the scene and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for a postmortem.

Inspector Ramesh Nayak of Osmania University told Newstap, "It has been confirmed that he died by suicide after 9 p.m. on Monday night because he was depressed over love failure. Looking at his body, it appeared that he had jumped from the tree. The postmortem examination has been completed, and the body has been handed back to the victim's family members."

A case has been registered at OU police station under relevant sections.
