HYDERABAD: A Hyderabad customer received the shock of his life when Anandobramha restaurant in Ameerpet delivered his meal full of worms on Tuesday. Reportedly, Bharath Nagar resident K Vamsi ordered lunch from Zomato on September 13, 2022.

He paid Rs 313 for Ragi Sankati and Natukodi Pulusu for the order he made from Anandobramha restaurant. He was, however, extremely dismayed to see worms inside the Ragi Sankati (Ragi Balls).

He headed straight into the restaurant to show them the contaminated food. K Vamsi, however, was disappointed by the restaurant's unfavourable response.

He even vented on Twitter about the contaminated meal he had received. He tweeted, "This is what we've ordered from the Anandobramha Restaurant in Ameerpet. We went to that restaurant and showed them how reckless their responses are, such as "do anything you want." I intend to take them to consumer court".

K Vamsi filed a complaint with the Assistant Food Controller of Greater Municipal Hyderabad Corporation(GHMC) against the unhygienic food he had received after being dissatisfied with the restaurant's lacklustre response.

A Hrudaya, a GHMC food safety officer, was assigned to handle the complaint. She visited the restaurant and took samples for testing. According to the Assistant Food Controller GHMC, samples were sent for examination during the inspection, and actions would be taken in depending on the findings.
