HYDERABAD: The Indian Racing League (IRL) is returning to the city of pearls, with the final round taking place on the track near Necklace Road in Hyderabad on December 10 and 11, 2022.

The International Racing League (IRL) is a city-based racing championship with six teams competing in a league-style format.

The six teams competing are Chennai Turbo Riders, Speed Demons Delhi, Bangalore Speedsters, Hyderabad Blackbirds, GodSpeed Kochi, and Goa Aces.

Each team has two Indian drivers and two international drivers including a female driver. The 2.7km race track, with 17 curves, loops back to the starting point via NTR marg, IMAX road, and the secretariat complex.

Hyderabad residents who would like to watch the IRL event live can now book tickets through Book My Show. There are two different sorts of passes available for the event: weekend passes, which are good for both days, and day passes, which are only valid for one day. The price of the ticket ranges from Rs. 749 to Rs. 11,999.

The Indian Racing League's official Twitter account shared the news and reminded fans about the event on Thursday.

"Good morning Hyderabad, the IRL is back in the city of pearls. We had a great deal of fun last time around, and with competitive races coming to the Hyderabad Street Circuit this weekend, things are about to heat up. Be there on the 10th and 11th of December to catch the rush," the IRL tweeted.

The first round of the IRL was held in Hyderabad on November 19 and 20, 2022. However, due to an accident involving drivers from the Chennai Turbo Riders and Goa Aces teams, Round 1 of the IRL was cancelled and rescheduled for Chennai.
