Tension in Gachibowli as GHMC demolishes Infinity Drive-In

HYDERABAD: Tension prevailed on the DLF Road in Gachibowli of Hyderabad on Thursday morning after GHMC authorities began demolishing alleged illegal constructions of a commercial establishment.

The town planning authorities of the GHMC pressed bulldozers into service to bring down the structures of Infinity Food Village/Drive-In. The civic body alleges that the structures that were being demolished were illegally constructed. The GHMC also reportedly identified that these constructions were carried out without obtaining any prior permission.

Tension prevailed in the area for a while as the representatives of the commercial establishment pleaded with the authorities against the crackdown, resulting in a heated exchange.
