HYDERABAD: Traffic restrictions imposed in the city for the Ganesh immersions have been relaxed. Vehicular movement and traffic within the city is running normally, according to Joint Commissioner, Traffic, AV Ranganath.

"Traffic is running normally at all junctions and all restrictions on traffic were removed," he said. The joint commissioner also said that, on one side, general traffic was being allowed from Ambedkar Statue to Children's Park on the upper tank bund road. Traffic coming from Secunderabad to the Ambedkar statue side is being diverted from the lower tank bund, he added.

Movement of general traffic (one side) from Telugu Talli junction to the VV statue is slow owing to heavy congestion of vehicles due to immersion festivities on the NTR marg. "We will open traffic coming from VV statue to Telugu Talli side as well, it may take an hour to clear the rush," said AV Ranganath.
