HYDERABAD: TRS MLC L Ramana became unwell during his questioning in Hyderabad by the sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the casino gambling case investigation on Friday.

L Ramana arrived at the ED office at the prescribed time in the morning and after being questioned for over an hour, he reportedly complained of uneasiness. Fluctuating levels of blood pressure was said to be the reason for the leader's indisposition. The ED investigators suspended the questioning and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital.

The TRS leader was seen being carefully escorted to his car before being shifted to the hospital. It was not immediately clear if Ramana suffered the bout of illness only during the ED questioning or was already having difficulties owing to fluctuating BP levels.

Ramana was one of those being pursued by the ED as part of its investigation into the alleged violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) regulations by casino king Praveen Kumar Chikoti.
