HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's misadventure in planning a national political entry while struggling to keep his government operational financially is an unworthy exercise, according to K.Krishna Sagar Rao, Chief Spokesperson, BJP Telangana State.

Krishna Sagar Rao stated in response to Telangana Chief Minister KCR's national party announcement on Wednesday, "It is not the first time that a regional party has fostered national ambition. Many regional parties have tried and failed since 1947. AIDMK, DMK, TDP, SP, BSP, RJD, JD (U), TMC, and, most recently, Aam Admi Party are a few examples ".

He went on to say, "I'm curious how a party can become a national party by simply changing its name from TRS to BRS. To be recognised as a national party, a party must garner quantifiable voter support in multiple states. The BJP believes there is no 'Telangana Model,' and it exists only in the fictitious imagination of CM KCR. A model that does not exist cannot be sold to the nation ".

I believe CM KCR's initiative will backfire. He added that changing his party's name from TRS to BRS will result in him losing his home turf while embarking on a wasteful national ambition, he added.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) made the long-awaited announcement and officially confirmed his national party as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) at an extended General Body meeting held at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday. KCR announced the name, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), amid lusty cheers by the TRS executive committee members and leaders.
