Jr NTR meets Home Minister Amit Shah

HYDERABAD: Film star Jr NTR met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Novotel Airport Hotel on Sunday evening.

Reports suggest that the duo met over a dinner

After a hectic daylong schedule, Amit Shah went to Ramoji Film City and met Chairman of Ramoji Group Ramoji Rao. Ramoji Rao took Shah around and showed him a palatial building.

Though what has transpired between both of them is not known immediately, it is widely discussed that it was politics that came up for discussion. Initially, it was speculated that Telugu Desam supremo N Chandrababu Naidu would meet Amit Shah at Ramoji Film City. However, the meet did not happen for now. However, Ramoji Rao reportedly attempted to broker peace between the TDP and the BJP, taking cudgels on behalf of the TDP. It's all too well known that Ramoji Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy too have an axe to grind against each other and they don't make any bones about the bitterness between them. Against this background, Ramoji Rao may have tried his "good offices" to distance Jagan and bring Naidu closer to Amit Shah and the BJP.

Interestingly, Jagan arrived in New Delhi on Sunday evening and would call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

Regarding Jr NTR's meet with Amit Shah, it was at the behest of the latter that the actor called on the Home Minister.

News channels went gaga about the meet and speculated that the actor would be the BJP mascot in AP. Some others expected him to be the BJP's chief ministerial candidate in Andhra Pradesh and for now work for the party in Telangana.

However, the BJP is playing politics of confusion with people of both Telugu states and especially TDP sympathisers and NTR family.

Another speculation is that Amit Shah wanted to honour NTR for his remarkable performance in RRR and the back room boy who had coordinated the meet was Director S S Rajamouli.

Amit Shah reportedly lauded the roles donned by NTR in mythological movies.

He also praised Jr NTR's acting skills. The actor reportedly declined to take a plunge into politics saying he had no interest. He also reportedly explained the various upcoming movies.
