WARANGAL: Three persons were killed on the spot and six others grievously injured after a car crashed into a stationary lorry at DC Tanda on the outskirts of Vardhannapet in Warangal district in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Krishna Reddy, Varalakshmi and Venkatasai Reddy. Their bodies were shifted to the mortuary of MGM Hospital for a post-mortem examination while the injured were being treated at the hospital. It is learnt that the victims were returning to Warangal from Ongole after participating in an auspicious event.

The police said that thick fog on the national highway might have caused the accident. However, full details of this incident were yet to be known.
