Armur Urban Park built with Rs 6 cr to be inaugurated soon

ARMUR: Armur Urban Park, which is being developed with a budget of Rs 6 crore, is all set to be inaugurated soon. The project, located in Chinnapur village of Makloor mandal in Nizamabad district, was inspected by MLA Asannagari Jeevan Reddy on Saturday. The park was being constructed under the 'Namaste Navanathapuram' programme.

Jeevan Reddy said that the park was being constructed under the supervision of the Forest Department. "This park will bring prestige to this area as well as Telangana. This is the only park in Telangana with a six-km walking track. The tallest watch-tower, from where the entire park can be watched, is also being set up," the MLA said.

The park is spread across 470 acres and would have two open gyms. Rs 6 crore was spent on constructing the gyms, six-km-long walking track, beautification of Chinnapur pond, compund wall, beautification of walls in the park, electricity and water connection etc., said Jeevan Reddy.

While reviewing the progress of work in the park with other officials, he thanked Chief Minister KCR and KTR for sanctioning funds for the park and said that he would request another Rs 5 crore to restore two more ponds in the area.
