NIRMAL: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay was on Sunday evening taken into custody by police when he tried to proceed towards Bhainsa to commence the fifth leg of his "Praja Sangrama Yatra". The police arrested him as he did not have permission to launch his his Yatra from Bhainsa.

Workers of the BJP stormed the office of Nirmal's Superintendent of Police after the arrest of Bandi Sanjay.

The police stopped Bandi Sanjay by surrounding him with patrol vehicles and arrested him when he was enroute from Jagityal to Nirmal for the Praja Sangrama Yatra. They said that there was no permission for the Yatra in the area.

The BJP workers sat outside the SP's office and raised slogans against the police, demanding that Bandi Sanjay be released immediately.

Will go to court, says Bandi Sanjay

After being arrested by the police and the Yatra being stopped, Bandi Sanjay said, "We will go to the court tomorrow and seek justice. What more evidence is needed for KCR's dictatorial rule? They stopped us when we were doing a democratic Yatra for the people."
