Centre favouring Gujarat in funds allocation, ignoring other states: Vinod

HYDERABAD: Telangana State Planning Commission (TSPC) Vice-Chairman Boinapally Vinod Kumar, on Wednesday, slammed the Union Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their step-motherly attitude towards the States. He said that they were ignoring the hey were ignoring the states in the allocation of funds and giving hefty amounts to Gujarat.

The former Karimnagar MP also released data of the funds allocated to Gujarat and said that the Prime Minister sanctioned Central Government funds for projects, industries, and other works in Gujarat worth Rs. 1,37,655 crore.

He also said that the funds were released considering assembly elections in Gujarat and said that Narendra Modi toured Gujarat nearly 40 times for various reasons including sanctioning funds, laying foundation stones and inaugurating the development activities.

The Planning Commission Vice-Chairman said "Narendra Modi is going away from his responsibility of treating all the States of the country equally, which is against the Spirit of Constitution. The people should realise his dirty politics and choose their leader wisely."
