Centre presents 1st prize to Telangana's Mission Bhagiratha

NEW DELHI: The Government of India on Sunday presented Akal Jeevan Mission award to Telangana as first in the country, in providing safe drinking water, through taps to every house hold. The flagship scheme Mission Bhagiratha stood first in the category of 'Regularity'.

Mission Bhagiratha team consisting of ENC Krupakar Reddy and other officers received this award from the Union Jal Shakthi Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat here on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti's 'Swachh Bharat Divas' celebrations.
