Gift a smile: KTR distributes 6,000 tabs with Byju's free software in Sircilla

KTR distributed 6,000 tabs under 'Gift a smile' initiative, which is a helping hand to the underserved segments of society

HYDERABAD: Multinational educational app Byju's offered to install free software in the 6,000 electronic tablets that were gifted to the students of Rajanna Sircilla district on Thursday.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao distributed the 6,000 tabs under 'Gift a smile' initiative, which aims at lending a helping hand to the underserved segments of society. Incidentally, 'Gift a smile' is an initiative started by KTR himself.

Distributing the tabs, he urged the students to utilise the Byju's software. He said that innovation and dreaming big were not limited to people in metro cities like Hyderabad but to everyone who had the willingness to grow. He asked the students to focus on thinking of being job creators rather than job seekers and said that knowledge and education improved everyone's lives.

He also said that the Telangana Government was focused on developing Rajanna Sircilla, with special emphasis on education and medical sectors. KTR said that the 'Gift a smile' initiative encouraged everyone who could step forward and help the community.
