Height of adulteration: Suryapet petrol bunk caught on cam selling water

SURYAPET: Customers who came to fill up at the Durga Bhavani Petrol Bunk in Suryapet District on Sunday vandalised the fuel station on Sunday, claiming that they were being cheated with a supply of adulterated fuel, mixed with what appears like water.

Customers claimed that Durga Bhavani fuel filling station, located at the Jangaon X Roads in the Suryapet district headquarter town, was only selling water instead of petrol and diesel. To buttress their claims, they filmed live visuals of the bunk operators pumping the fuel into transparent bottles and buckets. Visuals captured at the filling station clearly show the colour of the fuel in pale white and certainly not the hue of petrol.

Enraged by this brazen cheating and daylight robbery of the vehicle users, the motorists protested and even vandalised the premises to vent their anger. They demanded stern action by the authorities against the management of the fuel filling station.
