KTR asks people not to pay power bills, send to Sonia; Revanth to be Eknath Shinde of Congress

HYDERABAD: Coming heavily on the Congress Government in the State, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) urged people not to pay the power bills till Revanth Reddy’s Government clears them all. He also wanted the people the bills to Sonia Gandhi at the 10 Janpath address.

He said this while addressing the review meeting of Hyderabad and Secunderabad parliamentary constituencies at the Telangana Bhavan here on Saturday. Demanding the Chief Minister to fulfill the promises within hundreds of coming to power, KTR said the Congress party assured free power and must complete that promise too. “Don’t pay January month’s power bill, till the Gruha Jyothi promise is fulfilled. Show the CM’s promise if anyone asks you to pay the bills. Send copies of the bills to Sonia Gandhi’s residence and 10 Janpath the AICC office,” KTR said.

He also demanded the implementation of the Gruha Jyothi scheme to all under the GHMC area and extended the scheme to the tenants. “Release Rs 2,500 to every woman in the State immediately, and we the BRS will not leave the Congress Government till it coughs up every single rupee it promised to the people,” KTR said.

In just 50 days the Congress's Government forced auto drivers to commit suicide. There was no Rytu Bharosa, and farmers were under severe financial duress, KTR said. “Remind the people that Congress made 420 promises not just six. We must see that Congress implements all those 420 promises,” KTR said calling upon the cadre.

Revanth will be Eknath Shinde of Congress

Predicting a coalition between the BJP and the Congress after the Parliament elections, KTR said that Revanth Reddy would be the Eknath Shinde of Telangana. “Revanth has got the BJP’s lineage. The same man who spoke rotten about Adani is now running after him. Revanth must come out whatever transpired between them in Davos,” KTR demanded.

Calling Revanth the third engine to the double engine of Adani and PM, the BRS working president made it clear his party would never have a relation with the BJP. Coming to the development of Secunderabad, he said what development G Kishan had brought to the constituency.

“While KCR built and inaugurated the world’s largest lift irrigation project, Kishan Reddy launched lifts in Seetahaphalmandi railway station,” KTR pointed out. He reminded the cadre that the BRS had built 36 flyovers, while the BJP couldn’t complete the Uppal and Amberpet flyovers.

Thanking the party workers from Hyderabad and Secunderabad constituencies, KTR said that BJP took a back seat in the recent elections because of the cadre strength of the BRS.
