HYDERABAD: From the fervour of the large crowd in Chandur on Thursday and support form the people of this constituency, it is clear that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party will definitely win the Munugode by-poll with very majority, said TRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao, who attended the nomination rally of Munugode TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy on Thursday in Chandur.

Addressing a rally in Chandur, KTR said he would adopt Munugode constituency if the TRS nominee Prabhakar Reddy was elected. Referring to the charge that KCR was sleeping in his farm house, KTR sought to know whether the Asara pensions, Kalyana Lakshmi cheques, Rythu Bandhu, Dalit Bandhu cheques, and other welfare schemes were reaching the door step of the common man, if KCR was sleeping in his farm house. He sought to know if the fluoride problem in the drinking water could be resolved, if KCR rested in his farm house.

KTR said that he struck a conversation with an elderly woman on his way to massive rally who expressed her appreciation for the commendable work done by the KCR Government in Telangana.

He said, "While speaking to elderly woman Yaddama, I asked what KCR and Modi did for Telangana state, and she has replied that KCR increased my pension from Rs 200 to Rs 2,000 while Prime Minister Modi increased the wealth of Munugode BJP candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy from Rs 22 Crore to Rs 222 Crore between 2018 and 2022. She said that while Prime Minister Modi only boosted the wealth of the rich, KCR increased pensions for the poor.

She went on saying that previously, due to a lack of drinking water facilities in the area, no one used to give their daughters to boys of Munugode constituency in marriage. However, this issue had since been resolved. "My son used to fetch 50 litres of water from LB Nagar, which we used carefully for a week, but now, thanks to KCR, we all have access to drinking water at home.

KTR urged Munugode residents to vote for TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy in the Munugode by-elections on November 6, 2022, ensuring a landslide victory for the TRS.

KTR accompanied the party's candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy as he filed additional nominations on Thursday. He had earlier filed his nomination papers.

Following the filing of nomination papers, TRS leaders, including Minister G Jagadish Reddy and several others, held a large road show in the constituency.

"I leave it to you guys to decide whether you will vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has imposed a 5 percent GST on handloom weavers. If you vote for the BJP, it would be increased to 12 percent and will further increase to 28 percent and so on. Or, will you vote for KCR government which gives 49 percent subsidy to handloom weavers under Chenetha Mitra Scheme," KTR asked.
