HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister Malla Reddy on Wednesday expressed anger over the I-T raids on him and his family members and alleged that the raids reflected political vengeance.

The minister came to know that his son Mahender Reddy fell ill during the I-T raids and was shifted to a hospital on Wednesday morning and went to the hospital in Suraram to see him. However, he was initially denied entry into the hospital but was later allowed inside by the I-T officials.

Against this backdrop, Malla Reddy expressed anger and made a sensational allegation that his son was harassed all night and beaten by the CRPF personnel and the I-T officials. He fumed at the Income Tax officials for stopping him from going to see his son.

Slamming BJP over the IT raids, Malla Reddy said that it was purely political vengeance and questioned whether he resorted to corruption or was running any casino. He claimed that around 200 officials had raided their houses and resorted to atrocities against his family members by deploying CRPF forces.
