HYDERABAD: The supporters of Telangana Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud allegedly attacked a firework operator right in his presence during Dussehra festivities in the Mahabubnagar district on Wednesday. A video of the incident has been going viral.
According to reports, Dussehra celebrations were underway at the ZP grounds in Mahbubnagar when fire crackers began to erupt even as Minister Srinivas Goud was speaking. The Minister then vented his ire at the event organizers and the fireworks operator was summoned on to the stage.
The fireworks operator was allegedly attacked by some persons, believed to be the followers of the minister, in front of District Collector Srinivas Goud, the District SP and Minister Srinivas Goud. The incident was captured on video and has gone viral on social media. The assault on the fireworks operator, happening right in front of high-profile officials, has sparked outrage.
