MUNUGODE: Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay, just minutes after the end of voting in Munugode on Thursday, said that the Election Commission was biassed towards the TRS during the campaigning for Munugode byelections. He said that the EC was under the control of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who was pressuring the EC to overlook everything the TRS did during campaigning.

"They (the TRS) distributed money, alcohol, gold and what not. They threatened people that if they did not vote for the TRS all their benefits like pensions or rythu bheema would be taken away. TRS activists went to the We presented all this to the EC with enough and more proof and they outright ignored it. There were no cases registered and no investigation," said the BJP President.

He also accused the ruling party of attacking BJP activists in many occasions and said that the TRS was playing the victim

Bandi Sanjay and BJP Munugode candidate Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy, both, went on to criticise the Chief Electoral Officer. Raj Gopal Reddy said that the TRS used muscle power and money power to gain votes in the by-election.

However, Bandi Sanjay, confidently, said that the BJP would win the by-election with a majority margin, challenging his own allegations that people were forced and lured into voting for the TRS.
