Answering a question by AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi about the pending Shadi Mubarak, and Kalyana Lakshmi cheques from the past few months, the Minister said that they would be released very soon. He also assured the house that the Government would appeal to the 16th Finance Commission for performance-oriented devolution of funds. He said that the Government had no objection to an all-party delegation to put forth Telangana's point of view.

Accepting the State Finance Commission’s recommendation to spend 11 percent of the State’s revenue towards the development of rural institutions, he said that the Government would strengthen urban centres too.

The Assembly later passed the appropriation bill for the financial year 2024-25 that covered the first four months and the remaining part of the financial year. The Speaker adjourned the house to meet again on Friday.
