Revanth Reddy: Spirited travel from ZPTC member to Chief Minister of Telangana

HYDERABAD: Anumula Revanth Reddy was born on November 8, 1969, in Kondareddypalli village of Nagarkurnool district. His political career began as a member of ZPTC in Midjil mandal in 2006.
He was elected as an MLC in 2007, under the local bodies quota as an independent candidate. In the 2009, Assembly elections he contested on the TDP ticket and was elected as an MLA from the Kodangal Assembly constituency. He was re-elected from the same constituency in 2014.
He was working president of the TDP from 2014 to 2017. He quit the TDP in the month of 2017 and joined the Congress. He became TPCC's working president within a year in 2018. But he lost the Kodangal seat in the elections held in December 2018.
However, he was elected as an MP from Malkajgiri Loksabha seat in 2019. On June 26, 2021, he was appointed as the TPCC president. He contested as an MLA from Kodangal in the 2023 Assembly elections and won. But he lost the election from Kodangal.
Revanth Reddy will take oath as the third Chief Minister of Telangana on December 7, 2023.
