SANGAREDDY: Calling the BRS and the Congress ‘partners in corruption’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his Government will not hesitate to conduct ‘surgical or aerial strikes’ to stop their corrupt ways.

Addressing the ‘Vijay Sankalp Sabha’ public meeting in Patancheru on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said that Telangana became an ATM for the Congress. “In Telangana, people elected the Congress by dumping the BRS. Only Telangana knows whether there is a truck between the BRS and the Congress. But their ‘Ghotala Bandhan’ is very strong,” he said.

The PM said that both the parties provided cover fire to save the other. He said that the BRS Government looted the farmers of the State by resorting to corruption in Kaleshwaram. “The Congress is suppressing facts and files about Kaleshwaram because its people were involved in corruption along with BRS leaders. That is why, even after so many months, there was no investigation into the Kaleshwaram,” he pointed out.

Assuring the people of action on corruption in higher places, Narendra Modi sought the blessings of the Telangana voter. “Ab ki bar 400 par,” he said, urging voters to elect BJP candidates in Telangana, helping the BJP to achieve more than 400 seats in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

Narendra Modi said that the BJP at the Centre would transform India into the world's third-largest economy very soon. He said that he had delivered all the promises that he had made in the past. “I promised abrogation of Article 370. Now there is a film made on that subject and people love it. I promised Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya and I delivered it,” he said.

He then said that his detractors hated him and couldn’t look directly into his eyes as he fought against nepotism and family rule. “I fight against the corrupt, as only their families benefit not States. Family-ruled States are against youth and a danger to democracy,” the PM observed.

“For them, family is first and for me the nation is first. I am bringing honest young men and women to the fore because they are my family,” he said. He said that the gifts that he received as head of the State were deposited in the treasury and auctioned. “The proceeds are used in service of River Ganges. In Gujarat, when I was the CM, I used to use that money for educating poor girls,” Modi said. While mansions were built for themselves by family rulers in States, Modi built four crore houses for the poor, he said.

Assuring the Madiga community in the State, he said that a high-powered panel was constituted and they were involved in confabulations with the community and searching for solutions, the PM said. He said that 40 lakh farmers in Telangana benefited under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

Earlier, the PM laid the foundation for Rs 7,200 crore worth of development projects for Telangana in Patancheru.

The Prime Minister also offered prayers at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad. "Prayed for the good health, well being and prosperity of all Indians at the Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Devasthanam, Secunderabad.," he said taking his X handle.
