HYDERABAD: The Congress in Telangana has come under fire for using a young model as a beneficiary of their party's 'Yuva Nidhi' scheme in Karnataka in newspaper advertisements ahead of the Telangana State Assembly elections in 2023.

The Congress used an image of a young model from the office website of PracticewithEve, a first-of-its-kind Al-based management consulting prep platform for students in Karnataka, according to an advertisement in a popular Telugu daily.

Karnataka's Congress government launched the Yuva Nidhi scheme in order to help unemployed youth. The scheme promises financial assistance to educated unemployed youth in the state in order to provide them with financial security.

The eligible beneficiaries were promised monthly assistance in their bank accounts through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) until they find jobs.

The opposition parties in Telangana, on the other hand, claimed that the Congress government is attempting to manipulate voters in the poll-bound State by using pictures of young models as beneficiaries.
