Telangana posts 1,000 Covid cases on Tuesday

HYDERABAD: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Telangana has crossed 1,000, with 283 more cases were reported on Tuesday, taking the figure to 1054.

With 396 cases, Hyderabad reported the most COVID positive cases. Rangareddy and the Medchal-Malkajigiri district each had 60 cases. Nirmal reported just one case, while Karimnagar reported 46 cases and the Nalgonda district reported 49 cases.

A total of 795 people recovered from COVID infection on Tuesday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,11,568. The number of active cases stood at 5,992, according to the bulletin, with no deaths reported in the previous 24 hours. The case fatality rate was 0.50 percent, and the recovery rate was 98.77 percent.

The citizens of Telangana have been advised by the health department to continue wearing masks.
