HYDERABAD: People of Telangana have decided to elect a transparent, people-friendly government with a safety net for the disadvantaged, said AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday.

Mallikarjun Kharge welcomed Telangana's first-time voters to participate in this democratic process for change and social justice, saying that the time has come to turn out in large numbers to make it happen. He asserted that no Earthly force can stop the idea that has come to ensure Prajala Telangana.

The Congress urged voters to seize this opportunity to be the architects of Telangana's desired change. The Congress claimed to have successfully implemented promises into tangible actions.

The Congress took to 'X' (formally Twitter) and said, "Let your vote echo the aspirations of every citizen who dreams of a brighter, inclusive, and thriving Telangana. Our commitment is unwavering. We envision a 'Prajala Telangana' where every voice is heard, every concern addressed, and every citizen's well-being is a priority."

"At the historic 'Vijayabheri' rally, Sonia Gandhi ji expressed the desire for a Congress government in Telangana that works tirelessly for people of all backgrounds. We are dedicated to fostering comprehensive progress and inclusivity. Your vote isn't just a mark on a ballot; it's a pledge for a better tomorrow, " added Congress.

Six guarantees promised by the Congress

  • Mahalakshmi - Rs. 2,500/month for women, Free bus travel, and Gas cylinder for ₹500
  • Indiramma Indlu - Rs. 5 lakh assistance to build a house and 250 sq yards of land for Telangana movement fighters
  • Gruha Jyothi - 200 units of free electricity
  • Yuva Vikasam - Rs. 5 lakh assistance for college students
  • Cheyutha - Rs. 4,000 monthly pension for senior citizens, widows, disabled individuals, and others, and Health insurance of Rs. 10 lakh under Rajeev Aarogyasri
  • Rythu Bharosa - Rs.15,000/year for farmers and Rs. 12,000/year for agricultural labourers
