Transco staffer in Karimnagar accused of cheating fiancée after sexual exploitation

KARIMNAGAR: A Transco Assistant Engineer is facing accusations of cheating his fiancée and sexually exploiting her in Karimnagar. He is also in trouble for taking her to a gynecologist for a pregnancy test before refusing to marry her. The case of alleged cheating and rape in the name of marriage came to light after the victim approached the State Human Rights Commission on Sunday for justice.

According to the victim, Dayakar Jadhav, a native of Sri Lanka Colony in Jannaram Mandal of Mancherial district, is an assistant engineer of TS Transco working in Karimnagar district. He got engaged to an engineering student and became intimate with her. He was accused of frequently taking her to a room in Karimnagar, drugging her and raping her multiple times, misusing their status as a couple-to-be, awaiting a legal wedding. However, after sexually exploiting her, he shunned the young woman, claiming that he would be marrying another woman for a dowry of Rs 2 crores.

Against this backdrop, the victim's relatives tried to reach out to Jadhav but he blocked his access on his phone and on social media platforms and remained incommunicado. Left with no option, the woman filed a case against Dayakar Jadhav, his mother Lakshmi, sister Lata, brother Vilakar and friend Bir Prakash.

Based on the complaint of the victim, the State Human Rights Commission has ordered an investigation. The district police department has issued a notice to the officials asking them to submit a comprehensive report on the case by December 19.
