TRS pays Rs 26 Cr for insurance of workers, helps 4,000 activists

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi Chief K Chandrashekar Rao has extended the insurance facility to party members and activists across the State for the seventh consecutive year. TRS party Working President K T Rama Rao handed a cheque with the accident insurance premium amount to the United Insurance India Company on Tuesday at Pragati Bhavan.

The TRS party was extending support to the members and their families who died in accidents in the last six years and spent Rs. 66 crores for the premium. The party assisted families of as many as 4000 activists. The insurance facility, which was available to people below the age of 70 years, provided Rs 2 lakhs in cases of deaths by accident, Rs 1 lakh to completely disabled and Rs 50,000 to partially disabled.

The Minister handed over the cheque to the delegation of TRS Party Working India Insurance Company in a meeting held at Pragati Bhavan.
