TSRTC unveils new super luxury buses

These super luxury buses also have cell phone charging stations and televisions for entertainment

HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) launched brand new super luxury buses on Saturday, equipped with a tracking system and a panic button that will be linked to the TSRTC control room.

Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, along with TSRTC Chairman Bajiireddy Govardhan, Transport, Roads and Buildings Secretary Srinivasa Raju, TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar, and others, flagged off the new buses on Saturday.

Surveillance cameras, a reverse parking assistance camera, and a cutting-edge Fire Detection and Alarm System are among the features of the newly launched buses (FDAS).

According to TSRTC, these vehicles also have a cutting-edge Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS) that alerts immediately if a fire breaks out in the bus. These super luxury buses also have cell phone charging stations and televisions for entertainment.

These buses also have a panic button that is connected to a control room and can be utilised by passengers in an emergency.

In addition to LED display boards, each bus offers 36 spacious, reclining seats. The buses feature security cameras and a camera for reverse parking assistance for the passengers' safety.

TSRTC purchased 1,016 new advanced buses for Rs.392 crore in the current fiscal year after TSRTC management decided to replace the old fleet with the new buses. 630 Super Luxury, 130 Deluxe, and 16 Sleeper buses were ordered through tenders in the first phase.
