HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has proposed a plan to bring all Gurukula schools under one umbrella by setting up integrated complexes on a 20-acre campus.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced this plan after handing over appointment orders to selected Gurukula teachers at LB Stadium on Thursday.

Again, the recruitment process of these teachers was conducted during the BRS regime and Revanth Reddy claimed credit for issuing appointment letters.

Revanth Reddy said that the initiative would be implemented as a pilot project in his constituency, Kodangal, and later in all Assembly constituencies. The officials had been instructed to identify suitable places to establish the Gurukulams in all constituencies,

The Chief Minister also announced that the State government would soon take up teacher recruitment through “Mega DSC” and provide education facilities at the poor's doorsteps. Further, he announced that the Group-1 exam would be conducted soon.

The Chief Minister alleged that the previous BRS government had neglected recruitment in the government. After BRS lost power, the Congress government took up the recruitment process and promised to fill jobs transparently through the TSPSC. He also mentioned that 6,450 single-teacher schools were closed during the BRS regime, depriving poor children of education.

The Chief Minister criticised Harish Rao and KCR for resorting to mudslinging instead of focusing on the welfare of the people. He asked why the BRS didn't give jobs during their 3,650-day tenure, while the Congress government had initiated the recruitment of 25,000 jobs within 70 days.

The Chief Minister further stated that people would not show sympathy towards the BRS even if they hanged themselves and urged KCR to realise that he had betrayed the people.
