Chandrababu Naidu extends solidarity to Pawan Kalyan, meets latter in a hotel

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has called on Janasena president Pawan Kalyan at Novotel Hotel in Vijayawada on Tuesday afternoon.

Soon after Pawan Kalyan completed his session of abuses against YSR Congress leaders, the Telugu Desam president went to the the hotel where the actor was staying and met him. The TDP chief expressed his solidarity with Pawan Kalyan over the incidents that led to the cancellation of his Jana Vani programme in Visakhapatnam. The tense moments of last two days in Vizag were discussed and Naidu extended his support to Pawan Kalyan in his fight against the YSR Congress.


Chandrababu Naidu was, in fact, among the first to condemn the arrest of Jana Sena activists in Visakhapatnam and demand their immediate release.

Pawan Kalyan was scheduled to participate in his Jana Vani programme in Visakhapatnam on October 16 but had to cancel it following the attack, allegedly by the Jana Sena activists, on the vehicles of a few YSRCP leaders including Roja on October 15. As a result of the violence, Pawan Kalyan was served a notice by the Visakhapatnam police to leave the city. Until the time he finally left the city on Monday, he was confined to his hotel suite at the Visakhapatnam Novotel.

As per latest reports, the Jana Sena top leadership is waiting for an appointment with Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan to petition him about the Visakhapatnam incident.
