AMARAVATI: TDP president Chandrababu Naidu will be leaving for New Delhi on Wednesday in what is probably his last ditched effort to stitch an alliance with the BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu will be leaving for Delhi on Wednesday night and meet senior BJP leaders.

While TDP and Jana Sena have already finalised their alliance, the BJP is yet to take a call. The local BJP leadership in Andhra Pradesh have left the decision to form an alliance to the high command.

It would not be the first time if the trio form an alliance. In the 2014 elections too, the TDP, the Jana Sena and the BJP contested together in Andhra Pradesh.

With less than a couple of months left for the elections, top leaders of the three parties have decided to settle the issue of alliances.

The BJP, which had been delaying the decision for a long time, would likely make its stand clear on joining hands with the TDP this week.
