MEDIGADDA: Calling BJP to come out from hiding and spell out its stand on Medigadda, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said that the BJP abstained from attending the review meeting here on Tuesday “only because it’s in cohorts with the BRS.”

Replying to a question on why the Congress Government delayed handing over of the Medigadda inquiry to the CBI, he said that the BRS would love that, as the CBI worked under the guidance of the BJP. The very purpose of the inquiry would get watered down if the CBI probed into the matter.

“The BJP which demanded an inquiry on the BRS for the sagging of barrage pillars suddenly changed its attitude. Kishan Reddy must explain why they stayed away from the visit today,” CM said.

“KCR is acting for sympathy. Which one is farther, Nalgonda or Assembly? We requested him to attend the Assembly to participate in debates. But keeping in mind the ensuing Lok Sabha elections he preferred to attend Chalo Nalgonda,” he said.

Revenue Recovery

When asked about action on the officials who were allegedly involved in wasting crores of tax payers money on Kaleshwaram project, the Chief Minister said that action would be initiated against them as per the Telangana Revenue Recovery Act.

However, he made no direct mention recovery from L&T that built the Medigadda Barrage but said that the company must fulfil its duty by participating in the salvage of the barrage.
