Standup comedian Munawar Faruqui's fans hail Hyderabad City Police, KTR

HYDERABAD: Munawar Faruqui's fans have nothing but admiration for the Hyderabad city police after they detained BJP MLA Raja Singh at his home prior to Munawar's performance in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Following the news of Raja Singh's arrest by the Hyderabad City Police, supporters of Munawar Faruqui applauded the police for keeping Raja Singh in preventive detention at his home in order to avert any unpleasant situations on the day when Faruqui is performing in Hyderabad.

Fans also lauded Hyderabad city police, saying that they were setting an example by defending freedom of expression. Fans expressed their excitement that the long-anticipated performance by Munwar was finally taking place in Hyderabad. In addition to thanking the Hyderabad City Police, other supporters also hailed Telangana Minister K T Rama Rao for inviting Munwar to Hyderabad and his performance.
